Deputy Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh acknowledged that the necessary Abrams tanks for Ukraine are currently not in US warehouses.
“We simply don’t have these available tanks in US warehouses, which is why it will take months,” RIA Novosti quotes her.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden confirmed that Washington would transfer 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Kyiv.
At the same time, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said that the US would not have time to send the Abrams tanks promised to Ukraine in time for the spring counteroffensive.
