The New York Times has independently verified the validity of IRS whistleblowers’ allegations, supporting their claim that the Department of Justice (DOJ) under President Biden interfered with the investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes.
According to the NYT article, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed the whistleblowers’ testimony to The New York Times.
The confirmation, though buried in the 21st paragraph of the article, lends credibility to the explosive claims made by multiple IRS whistleblowers. The finding was reported by the Washington Examiner’s investigative reporter Chuck Ross.
The key allegation is that the DOJ, impeding United States Attorney David Weiss, obstructed the pursuit of charges against Hunter Biden in California.
The interference from the DOJ also caused delays in the authentication of a WhatsApp message, wherein Hunter Biden demands payment from Chinese officials and mentions his father’s presence ‘in the room.’ Those payments were made ten days later, bank records show.
On Thursday, Chairman Jason Smith of the House Ways and Means Committee released five new documents, presenting evidence from two IRS whistleblowers who accuse the Biden DOJ of interference. They contend that the “Biden Department of Justice is intervening and overstepping when it comes to the investigation of the president’s son.”
