A report from the Daily Mail revealed that for Hunter, this was actually a downsize. In Hunter’s previous home, it was costing around $20,000 for him to live there.
Secret Service’s housing will be costing $16,000 per month, coming out of taxpayer funds for the Secret Service budget.

Hunter’s new home is a three-bed, three-bath 1950s-style house in a gated community in the state of California. The listing description tell of “mesmerizing ocean views that are the ultimate backdrop for dining alfresco or stargazing over the shimmering Pacific” as well as a “vastly open floor plan, beautiful wood-beamed ceilings and large windows that give the illusion of being fully immersed and in total harmony with nature.”
It is a downsizing for the president’s son and may be an adjustment because of increased legal fees. He has dropped several lawyers since the DOJ reneged on the “sweetheart deal” Hunter would have received. A full criminal trial may now be more likely and a special counsel has been appointed over the case.
