On Monday it was now former Director of the U.S. Secret Service testifying before the House Oversight Committee and today it was FBI Director Wray’s turn in the hot seat before the House Judiciary to report on the investigation into the assassination attempt of Pres Donald Trump. Wray provided some definitive details (see X posts below video) while also helping to provide a clearer picture about Thomas Crooks, the kid assassin, his movements throughout the day, his home and his parents.
The bipartisanship witnessed during the House Oversight committee on Monday pretty much vanished by today’s hearing. The Democratic members on the Judiciary committee seem to still be peddling the nonsense about far-right extremists when it’s the lefty’s as in far, far, far to the left lefty’s who are today burning American flags in Washington DC, defacing public monuments and property and causing general mayhem. Let’s not focus attention much less concern on any of them.
But, I digress.
WATCH:
Wray shared a lot of details throughout his testimony, but we’re no closer to learning about the other shooters. One of the concerns that he and others are alluding to is that based on evidence collected to date, this rally in Butler Township was possibly designed to be a mass casualty event. This part of the investigation is developing.
Also, Wray confirmed Thomas Matthew Crooks “was NOT on the FBI’s radar prior to the shooting.”
