President Joe Biden insulted the Texans and Mississippians who were enthusiastically embracing their governors’ orders that will soon lift lockdowns restricting businesses in their respective states, as well as lifting state-wide mask mandates.
“We are on the cusp of being able to fundamentally change the nature of this disease,” Biden continued. “Because of the way which we were able to get vaccines … we’ve been able to move that all the way up to the end of the May. We have enough for every Amercan, every adult American, to get a shot,” he said.
“The last thing we need is Neanderthal thinking,” Joe Biden said. “That, in the meantime, take off your mask, forget it. It still matters.”
Mississippi’s Governor Tate Reeves rejected Biden’s jab, and fired back with a message defending his state’s residents.
President Biden said allowing Mississippians to decide how to protect themselves is “neanderthal thinking.”
Mississippians don’t need handlers. As numbers drop, they can assess their choices and listen to experts. I guess I just think we should trust Americans, not insult them.
