Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who is leading the subcommittee investigating the assassination attempts against former President Donald Trump, told reporters the American people will be shocked by the findings in their interim report when it is released on Wednesday.
“There needs to be a house cleaning in procedure, practices and personnel,” he told reporters Tuesday.
The Connecticut Democrat noted that they are still waiting for more documents from the Department of Homeland Security. Blumenthal has previously said that DHS’s actions have been “tantamount to stonewalling,” throughout the committee’s investigation.
