As a regular reader here at The T-Room you know we choose to focus our limited resources on moving the proverbial policy balls forward.
We learned long ago when covering High School shootings, crazy-people driving their vehicles purposely into crowds or mass shootings that what these souls desperately want is attention. Coverage of senseless acts of violence toward our fellow human beings is not going to be found here.
With that said, we are living through a very violent time here in America whether said violence is through weaponry or words.
People are on edge.
People’s normal bearings are a bit out of kilter.
Stress. Ego. Anger. Frustration. Fear.
These emotions are drivers that if not held in check can become your worst nightmare.
Whatever Elon Musk’s emotional drivers were that set him off this week, honestly, is none of our business. Sure he aired his thoughts publicly but that doesn’t mean anything more than he lost control of those emotional drivers publicly. Because that is what he did – he lost control.
We’re going to give this story some time to shake out before covering it; if we even need too.
The only individuals he harmed was the President and himself. They are adults. Forgiveness, humility and kindness need to be their emotional driver’s moving forward.
In the meantime, we’re going to give them tons of space, say some prayers and continue doing the work we’ve been doing here long before either of these two men came onto the policy and political scene.
We sincerely hope you will join us in wishing both men the very best their lives have to offer and maybe say a prayer or two.
Tough times. Really tough times.
