Appeals, if he’s convicted, would be another matter. Bragg’s entire case will rest on Trump covering up a campaign finance crime which 

the FEC said didn’t happen. Between that, & the timing, appeals are a no brainer, as in NY, the state constitution guarantees a speedy trial, & federally, it’s a clear cut 6th amendment argument.
