According to a report from the Washington Examiner, Los Angeles voter errors could overturn the failed District Attorney George Gascon recall.

The committee seeking to recall L.A. County District Attorney George Gascón filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, claiming the office has placed restrictions against its review of invalidated petition signatures.

Volunteers to recall Gascon have reportedly found 1,560 valid voter signatures that were thrown out by the county of Los Angeles. This incident has prompted a lawsuit that will speed up the review of all disqualified signatures.

The lawsuit states that recall campaign workers found a 39 percent error rate after reviewing just two percent of the 195,758 invalidated signatures from the failed grassroots campaign to remove the progressive Democrat from office.

In order to win the recall, the campaign needs to show a maximum of 21 percent of failed signatures are valid. The percentage could actually be lower in the campaign proves to a judge that dirty voter rolls exist.

This could mean that the county has not cleaned out nearly a half a million inactive voters as required by a court order following a Judicial Watch lawsuit. District Attorney Steve Cooley, who has helped in the recall effort, said in a statement:

“It is stunning. If this guy survives the recall, shame on the [county] Board of Supervisors.”…
