Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell won reelection in Kentucky, defeating Amy McGrath, a retired Marine combat pilot.
A panel of hosts and guests broke the news on Fox News on Tuesday evening, confirming that the Republican stalwart who has overseen a record number of federal judge confirmations under President Trump will serve six more years.
“Mitch McConnell, we now can project that he will win that Senate race against Amy McGrath, the Democrat,” Bret Baier said.
The Associated Press and others also called the race for McConnell, who was first elected to the Senate in 1984.
Fox News host Martha MacCallum noted McConnell’s work to confirm a series of judges, which has been seen as a major victory during the first term of the Trump administration.
