One of the reasons The T-Room isn’t doing a whole lot of coverage on the cut spending/raise debt ceiling negotiations is because I’ve seen this silly dog and pony show more times than I care to admit. That said, Speaker McCarthy is absolutely being the responsible adult in this room whereas all others are just petulant children pretending the world is going to end, the sky is going to fall and as Hillary always loves to say ‘the end of our democracy.’ Of course, Hillary never tells you what her definition of a democracy is but that’s left for another snarky post.
