Remember the bill then Speaker Pelosi told the world nobody could read what was in it until the House and Senate passed it? Do you recall that bill? That was what many coined as Obamacare formally known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Given the fact the ACA was frontloaded with shovels of manure that would make the entire policy unsustainable the Democrats championed and secured taxpayer subsidies to keep the health insurance affordable. They’ve had several years to amend the broken policy and have chosen to continue kicking the can down the road.
That road has come to a dead end given the sunset clause they passed. They’ve known this day was coming since passing the Covid Credits then extending those credits all the while having four-years to fix the damned bill.
But here we are four-weeks into a shutdown.
Now is when you will learn who is truly serious about the future wellbeing of this country. You will learn quickly Republicans have already gone on the record stating they will work on the ACA with Democratic leadership only if they vote to pass the clean Continuing Resolution.

It’s always the Democrats way or else. The ‘or else’ always leaves the burden of these juvenile political games on Americans, always.
And today, the number 2 Democratic leader in the House admitted you the Democrat, the Republican, the Independent are being used as their leverage for not doing the job they kicked down the road where there is no more roadway left.
@WhipKClark, the number two House Democrat, on the Democrat Shutdown: “Of course there will be families that are going to suffer… but it is one of the few leverage times we have.”
