White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on Thursday, where she was asked about Americans who are currently stranded in Afghanistan and unable to get out.

“But is it fair to say you’re getting close with this flight and perhaps others to getting every American who wants to leave Afghanistan out of the country,” Willie Geist asked. “Are you close?”

“That’s what we’re working toward, absolutely,” Psaki said.

“And are you close now?” Geist pressed.

“We’re getting closer,” Psaki responded.
