A group of former National Security leaders sent a letter Thursday to House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan and House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer in the wake of Special Counsel John Durham’s report, calling on them to hold oversight hearings regarding FBI practices on issuing and revoking security clearances.
The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the letter, sent by members of the America First Policy Institute. In the letter, the former National Security leaders mention the Durham Report, which found the FBI used “uncorroborated intelligence” when launching its investigation into former President Donald Trump and his alleged ties to Russia.
The letter was sent by former National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg (Ret.), former U.S. Secretary of Veteran Affairs Robert Wilkie, former Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf, former Acting U.S. Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, former Chief of Staff and Executive Secretary for the National Security Council Fred Fleitz and former Deputy National Security Advisor Steve Yates.
