Since President Trump signed the pardons and commutations for 1.500 J6 political prisoners, I’ve been following their release via Ford Fischer, a primary-source documentarian, and Ben Bergquam, Host of Law & Border, who post their work on X. These two fine journalists stood outside of the DC Metropolitan jail all day and into the night to capture video of those J6er’s who were freed.
Watching these releases has been more than humbling. These many men and women have endured unspeakable trauma at the hands of an out of control, corrupt Department of Justice, FBI and judicial system. If I’m speaking frankly, it is a system that must be torn down to its very foundations and rebuilt. It is broken beyond repair.
That said, imagine my awe this morning when I watched the below clip taken by Fischer in the wee hours of this morning when I believe all J6ers had finally been freed.
It is humbling, inspiring, powerful and pure beauty – turn up your volume and sing along –

They meant every word they sang. Simply beautiful.
May all of these men and women, who we call J6ers with affection, find some semblance of peace after what they’ve endured for four excruciatingly long years.
I’m confident we haven’t heard the last from them.
But for now, rest up, eat up, love up, pray up because y’all have got a ton of work to do.
