Dear T-Room Readers: At 8:45 am this morning I received the call none of us ever want to receive from my brother. My 91-year old mom quietly passed away. Thankfully, the Hospice Pastor was able to arrive in time to hold her hand while taking her last breath. She didn’t suffer. She didn’t pass away alone. Thank you, dear Lord. I was so blessed to spend 58 wonderful years with her. She was my dearest friend and biggest cheerleader. I loved her with all of my heart.
Hubby and I are heading to her Assisted Living home to pack up all of her belongings to bring them home. I’ll be out of pocket for the rest of this week. My parting thoughts are simple. Never take any loved one for granted. Always tell them you love them, daily. And always be sure you’ve done all you can possibly do for your loved ones so that when it’s time for them to go home, wherever home may be, you won’t be carrying a heavy weight of the shoulda’s and coulda’s. Live today, every day, as if it’s your last and always, always be kind to all. God bless you and yours, always, Helen
