I’m not going to tell you to watch Miss Klucken’s testimony before congress today. I will tell you, however, if you don’t you are missing out on a meaningful moment in American history. As they say, it only take’s one soul to make a true difference. Miss Klucken did that today.
This strong and very determined black woman sat before the democratically controlled House Oversight Committee to provide testimony on the latest democratic gun control bills. Miss Lucretia Hughes Klucken, DC Project Women for Gun Rights, testified with such heartfelt sincerity and common sense I almost forgot she was testifying before a majority Dem panel.
Klucken started out by detailing her bona fides then pivoting to why more gun laws designed to infringe on law-abiding citizens constitutional rights to defend themselves does not address the true causes behind these mass shootings much less the increased number of homicides every American hears about on their nightly news.
Miss Klucken speaks for me and millions of other law abiding citizens who are weary of any gun law coming out of congress given the audacity of their recklessness around legislating the second amendment out of the constitution.
It is not the law abiding citizens who waited for over an hour before entering Uvalde Elementary School. It is not the law abiding citizens who randomly shoot up neighborhoods killing little babies in cribs, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, sisters and brothers. It is not law abiding citizens who spent nearly $9k on weaponry to shoot up an elementary school. It is not the law abiding citizens who refuse to look at the very serious and growing mental health crisis in this country. It’s law abiding citizens like Miss Klucken who are finding their voice to speak up and to be heard.
I STAND WITH MISS KLUCKEN, WILL YOU?…
