Dumping some information I dug up on Clearview AI. Technologies like this will undoubtedly be used to implement a Chinese-Communist-style social credit system in the West, but I haven’t seen anybody on the dissident right talking about how many links this creepy company has to the dissident right (I wonder why?).
Clearview AI (formerly known as Smartcheckr) facial recognition software is now being used by the US military:

As of 2020, Clearview claimed to work with over 600 law enforcement agencies:

…including the FBI and Interpol:

And they’re also working on technology like glasses with inbuilt facial recognition, which they’re selling to the US Air Force:

Most recently, Ukrainians have been using Clearview to scan the faces of dead Russians and send photos of their corpses back home to Russia (“more than 340 officials across five Ukrainian government agencies now can use its tool to run facial recognition searches whenever they want, free of charge”):

Clearview AI was founded by Hoan Ton-That and Richard Schwartz, who met at the Manhattan Institute. Schwartz is a Columbia University alumnus and was former aid to Rudy Guliani, Trump’s personal attorney. Ton-That is a hacker who comes from the royal Vietnamese dynastic Nguyen family.
The Manhattan Institute was founded by William Casey, director of the CIA, and Antony Fisher, founder of free-market think tanks, such as the Atlas Network and Institute of Economic Affairs (“the UK’s most influential thinktank”). Fisher was also linked to the Fabian Society’s London School of Economics.
Clearview AI is funded by Peter Thiel, who was the first outside investor in Facebook and co-founder of PayPal. He also co-founded Palantir, an AI corporation that is used by US intelligence agencies and the DoD. According to General Mattis “[Palantir] came up with ground breaking technologies that help us make better decisions in combat zones. You are giving us advantages right now that we need.” [Source: Palantir website]…
