The news hit Tuesday with a Daily Caller article, quoting an Axios article, that Democrat Joe Biden had been shamed into returning funds meant for his inauguration, which had been given to him by a former US Rep turned consultant for a Chinese “surveillance” company.
“President-elect Joe Biden’s inaugural committee will refund a donation from former California Sen. Barbara Boxer after she registered as a foreign agent for a Chinese surveillance firm,” Daily Caller wrote.
Boxer served as a U.S. Representative for California’s 6th congressional district from 1983 until 1993.
Boxer registered as a foreign agent on Jan. 8, 2021, as a ” strategic consultant” to a Chinese surveillance company. ” New Mercury,” according to President Donald J. Trump’s executive order, is on a shortlist of the most menacing Chinese Communist Party Military forces working in the United States.
Monday was the deadline for companies to divest from the 31 companies detailed by the executive order.
The question is, how many of the people in the DC “Bubble” are foreign agents, how have they influenced our lawmakers, and has it impacted US elections and policies?
One poster on Twitter pointed out that Boxer has had a financial influence on three Democrats in the news currently for their Trump hatred: US Rep. Ted Lieu, US Rep. Eric Swalwell and Community Organizer Stacey Abrams, who was instrumental in impacting the US and Georgia 2020 Elections.

According to FARA.us:
“The Foreign Agents Registration Act (“FARA”) imposes disclosure requirements and other legal obligations on any individual or entity that becomes an “agent of a foreign principal” unless an exemption applies.
FARA is a public-disclosure statute originally enacted in 1938 as a legislative response to extensive foreign propaganda activities in the U.S. during the run-up to World War II, which included a 20,000-person rally held in Madison Square Garden. Congress hoped that, through FARA, the “spotlight of pitiless publicity [would] serve as a deterrent to the spread of pernicious propaganda.” FARA has since been amended 10 times, with the most significant overhaul occurring in 1966.
FARA is codified at 22 U.S.C. § 611 et seq. Its implementing rules are located at 28 C.F.R. § 5.1 et seq. The Department of Justice, which enforces and administers FARA, has also issued advisory opinions and other guidance interpreting the law.”
