Joby Aviation is building a flying electric taxi (yep, real thing) that takes off like a drone, flies like a plane, and lands without needing a runway.
They’re hoping to pull a Wright Brothers 2.0 moment by launching it right off the White House lawn this year.
The controls? Just a joystick and throttle. No foot pedals. No 400 switches. Basically the iPad of aircraft.
It’s all electric, has no single points of failure, and might just be the first new way to travel in 50+ years that doesn’t involve sitting in traffic rage.
