During a recent campaign stop for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris in Georgia, Former President Bill Clinton was heard saying that Georgia nursing student Laken Riley would be alive today if the Biden-Harris administration hadn’t allowed so many illegal immigrants into the country who had not “been properly vetted.”
“You had a case in Georgia not very long ago, didn’t you? They made an ad about it, a young woman who had been killed by an immigrant. Yeah, well, if they’d all been properly vetted that probably wouldn’t have happened. But if they are properly vetted and that doesn’t happen – And America isn’t having enough babies to keep our populations up, so we need immigrants that have been vetted to do work – there wouldn’t be a problem.”

Jose Ibarra, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, has been indicted in the February 2024 murder of Riley. Ibarra entered the US illegally in September 2022 and was reportedly released into the US. Senator Josh Hawley demanded answers from Biden’s Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in the US Senate in April asking why Ibarra was unleashed on the American people. Hawley answered his own question, saying Ibarra was encountered by US Border Patrol at El Paso, “and was paroled into the United States due to lack of detention capacity.”
