When one has reached the heights of their career in journalism they become captured by million dollar paychecks to tow their corporations line. Most corporate news personalities, few are journalists anymore, are happy in the beginning of their new found corporate-contractual relationship. They have job security. They build and deepen relationships within the power structures they are reporting on. And if they are truthful, they build loyal audiences.
That’s Tucker in a nutshell.
I first learned of Tucker in 2010 when he founded the Daily Caller along with then VP Cheney’s former policy advisor Neil Patel. It was Tucker’s journalistic work at The Daily Caller that likely caught the attention of the Murdoch’s, the family who founded and owns Fox News.
Back in those days, Tucker was wily. His news site pumped out lots of articles favored by libertarian and republican readers. The site became and remains a go to online independent news source for center-right independents, republicans, libertarians and conservatives.
Seven-years after founding The Daily Caller, Tucker signed his corporate-contract with the Murdoch’s where he’s filled Bill O’Reilly’s old slot ever since. By all accounts, especially when looking at the growth in his audience, Tucker has served his corporate masters quite well.
Somewhere along his professional journey, I’m confident Tucker learned that having reached the heights of his journalistic career meant he also had to adhere to Fox News boardroom’s policies on what was permissible vs what was not allowed to be reported on as it related to producing his nightly Prime Time show. For example, the 2020 election heist. In today’s corporate media boardrooms what this boils down to is they too have to tow the line with their masters being the puppeteers who control the White House and UniParty.
After all, it is those puppeteers along with their sycophants who made sure the Smith-Mundt Act was repealed along with all other laws that forbade propaganda to be used on the American people. One can’t usher in an entirely new model of governance by telling their viewers the truth. Nope. They can’t have that.
Sadly, this is the reality for all corporate news shows these days. They have made it abundantly clear facts nor the truth have no place on their nightly news shows due to their New World Order/Great Reset/Build Back Better wet dream crap. It just takes some journalists longer than others to grasp.
Which is why Tucker’s firing, quitting or whatever does not come as a surprise. He’s one of the last solid journalists the globalist Murdoch’s could tolerate that is until today. Indeed, something tells me Tucker was truly struggling with his journalistic integrity being compromised while pretending it wasn’t. If you listened to any of his interviews, especially the one he recently did with Natali and Clayton Morris titled “Tucker Carlson: The truth needs to come out” where he intimates a plethora of concerns we as Americans are facing today. It’s a refreshingly candid interview where Tucker gets real with the audience.
WATCH:
Tucker is just the latest talent who has left the corporate news media with many now flourishing and shaping the new media – online independent news. There are so many journalists who have found they can make a great living staying true to their integrity and their journalistic training like Glenn Beck now the proud founder and owner of BlazeTV or Glenn Greenwald who founded The Intercept following the Edward Snowden bombshell series he wrote for The Guardian who now hosts his own news show System Update on Rumble complimented by his Locals Channel. Then their is Matt Taibbi of the recent #TwitterFile fame. A rock star at Rolling Stone while covering the 2008 banking implosion who now heads up Racket.News with 374k subscribers and growing.
Given the fact Tucker has garnered millions upon millions of viewers due to his trustworthy reporting, I’m very much looking forward to where he’s going to land. Hopefully, wherever that may be, we get more of his brand of journalism without the handcuffs.
It may be a bit premature, but I’d like to wholeheartedly congratulate Tucker for pissing off the Fox News Board of Directors enough to be let go. Something tells me he wasn’t blindsided and something tells me we will be seeing him, again, and soon…
